A QL Plus student team at the University of Cincinnati took home the 1819 Innovation Award at the 2025 CEAS Expo.
Students George Kote, Ethan Laake, Riley Lohman, Drew Sivon, and Jacob Yanasak were recognized for pushing engineering boundaries with their cooling liner for lower-limb amputees—designed to reduce heat and sweat buildup in prosthetics.
Their innovative prosthetic liner and socket system fills a critical gap in the market—giving leg amputees greater comfort, mobility, and confidence without the issues common in today’s models.
